Christine's Background

I've been lucky enough to work with dogs and their owners for over ten years, and it has given me a deep understanding of their needs in many areas of their lives from obedience training, behaviour and socialization to dog food nutrition and fitness, skin and coat care, first aid and safe handling. I believe it is important to educate owners about these things and to provide the best care for your beloved canine family member while you are away.

Christine Yake and her Pack

In 2000 I attended Canada West Canine Centre where I took their obedience and kennel management certification program. I began teaching obedience classes in the Comox Valley, but soon realized the average dog owner needed more help than what a regular obedience class offered. I began focusing on in home lessons and more specific training needs of my canine customers. In 2008 I became a Certified Pet Nutrition Expert by Hills Canada Inc. and even more recently I obtained a pet first aid certificate through both DOGSAFE and St. Johns Ambulance. For pets sake, please take first aid!

Throughout the years I've worked with some of the top vets, kennels, groomer's and pet specialty stores in the Comox Valley. They all shared their expertise with me, and now I am putting that knowledge to work helping dogs improve their overall mental and physical wellness.

The best teachers I've know have been the dogs that I have surrounded myself with, and they continue to teach me something new every day. Let me share my experiences with you and help you work on the dog of your dreams.
